Cultivating Success - The Importance of Training - Sit Down with CEPRA
The beauty and health of our landscape spaces rely heavily on the expertise of the individuals responsible for their maintenance. A well-trained landscape team, equipped with proper horticultural skills plays a pivotal role in maintaining our Florida landscapes as sustainable environments.
Horticultural training empowers our team with the knowledge and expertise to recognize and address the needs of the entire landscape. It is important for our employees to stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices. From understanding fertility requirements, proper pest control, water management and maintenance techniques, this creates an environment conducive to optimal plant health, which in turn improves the overall landscape aesthetic and sustainability.
In the age of growing environmental awareness, being good stewards of our landscapes is a must. Through the training of our team, we can aid in the reduction of non-point source pollution and mismanagement of our water resources. CEPRA Landscape’s commitment to training is yearlong. We utilize our in-house team members and outside industry professionals to educate our employees. During the year our training will consist of the mandatory FDACS training requirements, timely agronomic topics and the Green Industry-Best Management Practice course. Our Account Managers get the opportunity to attend the Annual Account Manager Summit each year, which consists of class room and field training, team building activities, and plenty of fun! For additional educational opportunities we routinely send our team members to industry sponsored seminars and trade shows.
The horticulture industry is continually evolving with new technologies and research. The commitment to training our landscape team ensures that they stay abreast of the latest developments and are equipped with the skill set to seamlessly adapt as needed.
The importance of training landscape teams in proper horticultural techniques and methods cannot be overstated. From enhancing plant health, adopting sustainable practices, to efficient resource management, a well-trained team is instrumental in maintaining a thriving landscape and providing the maximum value for the end user. By prioritizing horticultural education, CEPRA Landscape professionals will contribute to the beauty of our surroundings and also to the well-being of our Florida communities.
